The ground hog announced six more weeks of winter!
Now back to academics! The students are completing their personal narrative "My Winter Break."
As a class we are reading "Coyote Places the Stars." The students are going to create their own version of this story in book form. To date they have drawn their illustrations. The next step is to write their own story line. Following the story line, we will study constellations.The students will draw one constellation from the sky, and one from their imagination. In social studies, we are discussing tales, fables, and proverbs.
The students are looking forward to Valentines Day. They voted as a class to exchange Valentines. Please feel free to send in any treats that they would like to share. I will be furnishing a pizza lunch.
